MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available in 2017 by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina in the following year. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's streaming smash track Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo has a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are also musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is a must. While a youngster, he played the ukulele guitar and piano. Though his original career plan was to be a veterinarian for animals but his brother Julian encouraged him to start taking singing lessons from a Cuban. It transformed his life forever.
